Pay to be on it
$5 puts a domain on the board. One listing per domain, and paying again on the same domain raises that listing rather than adding a second one.
Rank is the sort
Nothing stores a rank. The board is ordered by what each listing paid, so the position and the price can never drift apart.
Anybody can take yours
Taking a rank means paying $1 more than whoever is holding it. The rank is yours until somebody pays more than you did. All sales final.
